Crenellated envelope over the front with hatched flutes.
The hinged cover depict an allegory of promising love and faithfulness:
a maiden holding an apple (love) to a kneeling young man, a dog (faithfulness) behind her and, to corroborate the allegory, a statue of Cupid in the lanscape.
The rounded base is engraved with initials of the owner A.-M.H. von C.H.
