Traditionally, the word ‘Jhumka’ refers to the bell shaped earrings design of India which are worn during the practice of Bharatnatyam (an Indian classical dance) because of the jingle of the hanging elements from the dome.
The Kuchi, which means “nomad” are tribes people who travel between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The Kuchi nomadic women do not wear burqas and they go unveiled.
