The figures are on a oval base; the side marked with the artist name Markup Bela 1932.
The bottom bears the stamp of the company -Herend Hungary- incised model number 5553.
The scene represent a peculiar custom on Easter Monday or «Dyngus Day» (meaning "Wet Monday"), in which men targeted young unmarried women for a drenching.
